Our
Policies:
(You will be asked to
sign a copy of this policy statement before your pet is groomed at your first
groom appointment.)
1. Our
philosophy is to offer a stress free grooming experience for your dog or cat.
We pay special attention to older pets and pets with health issues.
* Your pet's safety and comfort are the first priority.
* I will not perform any grooming procedure that causes pain or a level of
stress that we believe is excessive. This includes nail trimming in some
situations.
* Senior pets will be groomed for cleanliness and comfort.
2. You, the pet
owner, will advise us of any medical, physical, emotional issues, allergies,
sensitivities, or pre-existing conditions.
* These may include prior surgeries, hip or joint issues, warts, moles, ear
infections or skin problems.
3. If your dog
has behavior problems, please let us know.
* Paradise Paws Mobile Salon reserves the right to muzzle your dog.
* If we arrive at your home and your dog cannot be groomed, a $50.00 minimum
groom fee will apply.
* The pet owner will be held liable for any bites that require medical treatment
and for any property damage caused by their pet.
* All bites will be reported to the local authorities as required by law.
* Paradise Paws Mobile Salon reserves the right to refuse service.
4.
Appointments.
* The groomer will arrive as close to the scheduled appointment time as
possible, however, sometimes situations occur that will disrupt the daily
schedule of the groomer. This includes traffic, weather, mechanical
difficulties, spending more time with an older/younger pet or difficult pet.
The pet's safety will never be compromised by rushing to meet a schedule.
You will be called and advised of an arrival time when schedules change beyond
our control.
5. Pricing
varies for each dog and is determined by breed, size and condition of your pet.
* Additional charges apply for de-matting, de-shedding, excessive coat,
conditioners and flea treatments due to the additional time it takes.
* Additional charges may apply due to the dog's temperament and behavior during
the groom.
* There will be a minimum $10 charge for each time your pet eliminates in our
trailer due to the extra time it takes to re-sanitize the trailer and equipment
after elimination. To prevent being charged this extra fee, please be sure your
pet has eliminated prior to the groomer's arrival.
6. Matting.
* If you would like your pet brushed out, de-matting fees are $1.00 per
MINUTE.
* If your pet cannot be humanely de-matted, we may ask permission to clip the
hair short and "start over." We will always ask your permission.
* Please keep in mind that a matted coat can cause numerous health conditions,
including itching, irritation, and skin infections. Removing a heavily
matted coat includes risks of nicks, cuts or abrasions due to warts, moles, skin
folds and moisture trapped and hidden in the matts. Heavy matting can trap
moisture near the pet's skin allowing fungus or bacteria to grow causing skin
irritations that exist prior to the grooming process. Paradise Paws Mobile
Salon is not responsible for any pre-existing conditions that exist due to a
matted coat.
* If you would like to reschedule your grooming appointment to allow you time to
brush or comb out the excess matting, a $50.00 minimum groom fee will apply.
7. FLEAS &
TICKS.
* ALL
PETS FOUND TO HAVE FLEAS OR TICKS MUST HAVE A FLEA BATH!
* Pet owners MUST notify us BEFORE their scheduled appointment if your pet has
FLEAS. If we are properly notified at least 24 hours in advance, a Flea
bath is only $15 extra. If we are NOT notified prior to the appointment
time, the Flea bath charge is doubled.
* Flea baths are scheduled at the end of a grooming day in order to be able to
treat the trailer with flea killers before the next pet is groomed inside.
This is done to prevent transmission of fleas from pet to pet in our care.
* TICKS will be removed and placed in a baggie for you to bring to your vet to
have checked for Tick-borne illnesses. Tick removal is $1/each (first 2
are free).
8. Paradise Paws Mobile Pet Salon will not groom any pet who is not up-to-date on their Rabies vaccinations as required by LAW.
9. Paradise
Paws requires 24 hours notice to change or cancel an appointment.
* We will contact you by phone, voicemail, email or text to remind you of
your appointment.
* Failure to call 24 hours in advance may result in a charge of a $50.00 no
call/no show fee that must be paid prior to your next grooming appointment.
* Giving advance notice gives us the opportunity to fill your grooming slot and
rearrange our schedule.
* If the groomer shows up for the appointment and there is no one at home to
release the pet (unless prior arrangements are made), or the pet cannot be
caught/found to groom, a $50 cancellation fee will apply.
* If you are not able to be home for the groom and would like to make
arrangements for the groomer to do the groom anyway, please contact us to make
those arrangements and make sure the pet is crated prior to your leaving for the
day so we can find/catch the pet for the groom.
10. Payment.
* Paradise Paws accepts cash, checks
and select credit cards (AmEx, MasterCard, Visa & Discover).
* Payment is due at completion
of groom.
* Checks shall be made out to "Paradise Paws, LLC"
* There will be a $35.00 charge for non-sufficient funds.
11.
Photographs.
* Paradise Paws may take a picture of your pet for our Facebook page or
website.
