Deep
Conditioner
A Deep conditioner that is worked into the coat after
the wash, left on the pet for approximately 5 to 10 minutes and then rinsed.
This is fabulous for dry skin & coat, matted coats, coats that are silky, long
or otherwise tend to tangle...
FURMINATOR
Shed-Less Treatment
Add $25 to $35 (based on dog size & coat type)
Special Furminator low-shed shampoo, followed by the
Furminator conditioning solution which helps to release the old and dead coat
from your dog. While the Furminator conditioner is on the pet, a special brush
is used to help massage the skin and release more dead coat. The dog is then
high velocity dried completely, releasing even more dead coat. Once dried, the
dog is brushed thoroughly, making sure to have very little coat still coming off
the dog. This treatment is particularly popular with double coated breeds
like Shelties, Collies, Pomeranians, Labrador Retrievers, Golden Retrievers and
MORE!
Shavedown on a
SMOOTH coated dog (Labrador Retreivers, etc...)
There is an extra charge for shaving down a smooth
coated dog as it is very time-consuming and this is not ideal for their coat,
skin and overall health. The double coat serves as protection from the
sun, heat, and cold and removing it can seriously affect their health. If
you are concerned with excessive shedding, we recommend that you instead try the
FURMINATOR Shed-Less treatment and keep your dog on a 4 to 6 week schedule.
Hand Stripping
or Carding
For the pet parent who does NOT like the "shaved" look
on their hound, sporting dog, or terrier... This is a premium service
where the coat is "stripped" of the dead hair, wispies, undercoat, etc.
This is accomplished using fingers, specialized tools and a lot of "elbow
grease". It is time consuming but it maintains the color and texture of
your dogs coat. Breeds this is popular with: Terriers (most), Irish
Setter, Brittany, Springers, Cocker Spaniels, Afghan Hounds and MORE. One caveat; if
your dog has been clippered/shaved, it will take 3 to 4 stripping treatments to get the
coat to the correct texture. Some dogs never regain the proper texture and
color after having been clippered/shaved.
SKUNK treatment
Add $25 to $35 (based on dog size & coat type)
We all know it happens and it STINKS!
We have a fabulous system for removing the odor
permanently! Due to the nature of Skunk odor and
treatment, I prefer to do these treatments at the end of a day so that the
trailer can be "aired out" overnight before another pet is groomed inside.
Included in this price is a 2oz
sample of Laundry Odor Eliminator (for washing affected bedding and clothing)
and an 8oz bottle of Skunk-off solution that can be sprayed directly on affected
bedding, furniture or even directly on the pet.
Flea
Bath: $15
I'm not fond of fleas, nor they of me...
If I find fleas on your pet and you have not notified me prior to our
appointment time, the fee for this is doubled! In order to prevent fleas
going from pet to pet in my care, I schedule ALL flea baths for the end of the
day so that I can properly treat my trailer. If I have to treat my trailer
between appointments, it messes up my schedule and I get a little cranky!
I do not charge if I only see a dead flea or two, but I will let you know so
that you can keep an eye out in your home for more!
Dematting
If you would like your pet brushed out, de-matting fees are $1.00 per
MINUTE.
If your pet cannot be humanely de-matted, we may ask permission to clip the
hair short and "start over." We will always ask your permission. Please keep in mind that a matted coat can cause numerous health conditions,
including itching, irritation, and skin infections. Removing a heavily
matted coat includes risks of nicks, cuts or abrasions due to warts, moles, skin
folds and moisture trapped and hidden in the matts. Heavy matting can trap
moisture near the pet's skin allowing fungus or bacteria to grow causing skin
irritations that exist prior to the grooming process. Paradise Paws Mobile
Salon is not responsible for any pre-existing conditions that exist due to a
matted coat. If you would like to reschedule your grooming appointment after we
get there to allow you time to
brush or comb out the excess matting, a $50.00 minimum groom fee will apply.
